Chelsea Shambaugh is an award-winning dancer, choreographer & educator with more than 25 years of experience across a wide range of dance styles. As the owner and creative director of Body & Soul Dance Studio, she brings professional-level training, artistic insight, and genuine care to every student she teaches.
Chelsea began dancing at age six under the guidance of her mother, LeAnne Andersen, at Body & Soul Creative Dance in Gresham, Oregon. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue professional opportunities in dance, acting, and modeling, training with renowned choreographers touring with Artists & performing all across the country.
Her accomplishments include scholarships and recognition from leading organizations NYCDA, Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, American Ballet Theatre, Oregon Ballet Theatre, and Millennium, to mention a few.
As a teacher, she has earned numerous regional and national Overall awards across the county & consecutive Industry Awards for Best Choreography.
Injury prevention is at the heart of Chelsea’s teaching philosophy. She emphasizes preparation, conditioning, alignment, and body awareness. Her goal is to help dancers care for and strengthen their whole selves—mind, body, and soul—so they can train safely and enjoy long, healthy careers.
Chelsea is committed to creating a safe, inspiring environment where every student can build strong technique, discover their unique artistic voice, develop confidence and character, and grow into the artist they were created to become.

Train together. Grow together. Rise together.
TALENT SHOULD NEVER COST A DANCER THEIR JOY.
Too many dancers learn to stay quiet, compare themselves, and believe they must earn the right to be seen.
At Body & Soul, we are changing that.
Here, dancers receive exceptional training without sacrificing their confidence, individuality, or emotional well-being.
They are known, protected, challenged with care, and taught that another dancer’s success does not diminish their own.
Because the right training doesn’t just create stronger dancers.
It protects the person they are becoming.
